Presbyopia

Presbyopia is an eye condition characterized by difficulty reading or near work around the age of 40 years old. It is due to a muscle within the eye relaxing.

A near prescription (bifocal, trifocal, progressive lenses) is needed to correct this condition, although sometimes contact lenses and refractive surgeries can also help.
